Leading truckmakers including Scania, Volvo, Man and Daimler are being probed by the UK office of Fair Trading into alleged cartel activity.
Shares in all four were down on the news. If found guilty they can be fined up to 10 percent of their annual turnover, and executives can be prosecuted and risk up to five years in jail. All the firms have said they support the inquiry.
