French car-makers make early loan repayments

Both Peugeot-Citroën and Renault are to make early repayments on the three billion euros they were each given by the French government. The two companies were to start repaying the loans next year but are handing over one billion euros each today to save on interest expenses. Car scrappage schemes have helped them emerge from the financial crisis.
