Gunman holds tourists hostage in Manila

Police in the Philippines have surrounded a bus in central Manila where a gunman is holding over 20 foreign tourists hostage.

The man is thought to be a sacked police officer who is demanding to clear his name and to be reinstated.

A witness says he has already released two female passengers and several children.

Most of those on board are thought to come from either Hong Kong or South Korea.
