Israel killed Hariri, says Hezbollah leader

Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah has unveiled video footage that he says backs up his theory that Israel killed former Lebanese primier, Rafik al-Hariri five years ago.

In a video conference with journalists, Nasrallah accused the Western media of ignoring the case because of the alleged Israeli involvement.

A UN tribunal has been set up to probe Hariri’s murder but Nasrallah presented what he said were Israeli surveillance videos made before his killing.

The undated footage zooms in on where Hariri died and the area where he lived.

Nasrallah said his party had no presence in that district of Beruit that could have been of interest to Israel.

The Hezbollah leader has said the UN tribunal will indict some his members and is merely an Israeli plot to weaken his organisation.

Rafik al-Hariri died when a lorry bomb struck his motorcade on Valentine’s Day in 2005.
