German June exports strong


German exports rose more than expected in June: they were up by 3.8 percent from May as foreign demand continues to drive a strong recovery in Europe’s largest economy.

Analysts said it was very likely GDP data for the second quarter of the year, which are released this week, would show accelerated growth after a harsh winter slowed economic activity earlier in the year.

June imports rose 1.9 percent on the month.
