The move comes as the numbers of Romanians visiting Bulgaria has increased since both countries joined the EU in 2007.

As many as one million Romanians now holiday in Bulgaria making them the largest group of foreign visitors to sample the delights of the Black Sea resorts.

Stanko Nikolai is Romanian Police Officer at work in Bulgaria:

“When Romanians see a Romanian police officer here, they say ‘How nice – the Romanian police is here’. We help them to find places, hotels, everything.”

Its part of a wider cooperation between the two countries who have recently announced TourNet, for the promotion of cross border tourism.
