An investigation has begun into a bomb attack on an Orthodox Christian church in the southern Ukrainian city of Zaporizhzhya.
An 80-year-old woman, believed to be a nun, was killed and eight other people injured. Authorities say they have no idea who was responsible.
The blast occurred on the day Ukraine celebrated an anniversary of its conversion to Christianity in 988.
It also coincided with the last day of a visit to Ukraine by Russia’s Orthodox leader, Kirill.
Tensions have been strained between the two churches for years and his trip was marked by protests by nationalist Ukrainians.
