The Gulf of Mexico has been hit by another oil leak.
An oil well ruptured after it was struck by a dredging boat early on Tuesday, spewing crude and gas into the sea.
It happened about 100 kilometres off the coast of New Orleans.
The incident is unrelated to the massive spill that was recently capped by BP.
Rescue teams already working on that accident were sent to Barataria Bay to being to the clean-up.
Today marks the 100th day since the explosion of the Deepwater Horizon rig leaked hundreds of thousands of barrels into US waters.
