Southern China has been lashed by its second typhoon in a week.
At least two people were killed as Typhoon Chanthu slammed into Guangdong province. Land, sea and air travel were disrupted. The government warned people to stay inside and shut doors and windows.
Chanthu later moved into the Guangxi region where it was downgraded to a tropical storm.
The devastation it has brought comes as China reels from its worst floods in a decade. They have claimed over 700 lives this year. More than 300 other people are missing.
Further torrential rains are forecast across China and up to eight more major typhoons are expected in the next few months.
