Dinner for Schmucks is the latest Steve Carell offering. It’s a remake of the 1998 runaway success Le Diner de Cons (aka The Dinner Game) in which a group of revoltingly smug yuppies compete to find the most socially-inept dinner guests. But then the game backfires with predictably comic results. The film has had enthusiastic reviews and can’t fail to please Carell/Rudd fans.
