IMF raises 2010 growth forecast


The International Monetary Fund has upgraded its 2010 global growth forecast citing robust expansion in Asia and renewed US private demand, but chief economist Olivier Blanchard warned the euro zone’s debt crisis poses a big risk to recovery.

The biggest upward revisions to growth were in developing economies. Brazil’s growth this year is forecast to be 7.1 percent.
