China revises 2009 GDP growth


China’s economy grew last year even faster than previously thought.

The National Bureau of Statistics in Beijing has just revised upwards 2009’s GDP growth to 9.1 percent.

Before it had calculated growth at 8.7 percent.

The statisticians said a review of more complete data showed higher industrial output and a greater contribution from the services sector.
