Another expensive recall for Toyota

It’s going to have to fix an engine fault on more than a quarter of million vehicles worldwide.

Mostly they are cars in its luxury brand Lexus. Faulty valve spring could cause the engines to stall.

Toyota .. which is the world’s largest car maker won’t say how much this latest recall will cost .. but one report puts it at around one hundred and eighty million euros.

Lexus is one of the luxury marques that has just reported rising sales in the US.

In June, Lexus sold two point seven percent more cars than in the same month last year.

Mercedes sales rose twenty one percent while BMW’s increased fifteen percent.
