The so called “eleventh man” in the alleged Russian spy ring has failed to report to police in Cyprus after earlier being released on bail.

Although officers waited for the 54-year-old Canadian, Christopher Robert Metsos, he was a “no show”. The news was passed on to the FBI back in the US who have the ten others suspects in custody.

Metsos was staying in a hotel in Larnaca. He is accused of receiving and distributing money to his alleged spying colleagues. According to the US authorities they were collecting information on issues ranging from nuclear weapons research to the global gold market.

He was arrested attempting to board a plane to Hungary when he was stopped by security.

Meanwhile more details are emerging about Anna Chapman, dubbed the femme fatale of the spy case.

The self-styled entrepreneur who dabbled in real estate, lived in a swanky apartment in Manhattan.
Amateur video accessed on “youtube” shows her describing her business interests as being worth two million dollars.

Although her friends deny Chapman is a spy the story has captured the imagination of the media although the US is playing down any threat to diplomatic relations with Russia.
