UK peace protesters to be evicted

A court in the UK has ruled that peace protesters camping in Parliament Square must be gone by 4pm on Friday.

Tents and flags have transformed the grass in front of Parliament into a so-called “Democracy Village”.

The judge said there were law and order and public health concerns.

The postponed eviction date is to give protesters time to appeal against the decision.

Some, however, are already vowing to remain in place after the deadline.
