Recovery boosts Volvo truck sales


Volvo’s shipments of trucks were up by 44 percent in May compared with the same month last year.

The world’s second biggest lorry maker said the increase came as markets recovered from the worst downturn in decades.

Shipments rose 25 percent in Europe, 35 percent in North America and 90 percent in Asia, where the economic upturn has been firmer than on both sides of the Atlantic.
