News Corp moves to buy all of BSkyB

Shares of British pay-TV firm BSkyB soared after it rejected a proposal by majority shareholder News Corporation.

The Rupert Murdoch controlled group wanted to buy the 61 percent of BSkyB that it does not already own.

The offer values the company at 15 billion euros.

BSkyB said that was not enough but it would consider a higher offer.
