Spanish home sale recovery continues

There have been further signs of recovery in Spain’s crippled property market.

Sales of homes rose by 17.6 percent in April compared with the same month last year.

However the National Statistics Institute reported month-on-month sales fell 8.6 percent.

Spain’s housing market, inflated by cheap loans, collapsed in the wake of the global debt crisis, sending shock waves through the whole economy.
