South Korea qualified for the finals without losing a game and their explosive attacking play constantly troubled the 2004 European Champions, who have never scored a goal at a World Cup.
Fans of the Red Devils gathered in the capital of Seoul to cheer on their team in the hope that they will be able to repeat their performance from 2002.
Under the stewardship of Dutchman Guus Hiddink, South Korea became only the Asian team to ever reach a World Cup semi-final, beating Italy, Spain and Portugal on the way.
