European airlines heading deeper into debt


The world’s airlines can expect to make a two billion euro profit this year.

That is the latest forecast from the International Air Transport Association, which just three months ago was predicting a 2.3 billion euro loss.

However European carriers are expected to lag behind the rest of the world and IATA has raised its forecast for losses by the region’s airlines by almost 30 percent.
