As organisers of the Turkish-led Gaza aid flotilla released fresh footage of Israel’s raid on Monday, it is being claimed those killed suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
Britain’s Guardian newspaper says that according to autopsy results, the nine activists were shot a total of 30 times, with many bullets fired at close range.
Authorities in Turkey who carried out the autopsies say five of the activists were killed by gunshot wounds to the head, the paper reports.
The findings were released as the last of the Turkish victims was buried.
Israel says its forces fired in self-defence after they were attacked with clubs and knives, as well as
two pistols snatched from the commandos. But pressure is mounting for it to allow an independent inquiry.
