EU boosts bailout fund to 800 billion euros European Central Bank President Jean-Claude Trichet has said that the latest data suggests euro zone economic growth will be better than expected in the second quarter of this year, but he added: “We must remain cautious.”
In an interview with the French newspaper Le Monde, Trichet also said the euro is a very credible currency which maintains its value and inspires the confidence of investors.
