Greek unemployment at record high The number of people out of work in France rose again in April after falling in recent months.
The headline unemployment total was up 0.6 percent from March.
The number of registered jobseekers rose by 15,700 to 2.677 million.
The Economy Ministry figures highlighted the fragility of the recovery in the euro zone’s second largest economy.
The total is 7.8 percent higher than April last year
And the number of people who have been without a job for more than one year increased by 1.9 percent.
For the first three months of the year 10.1 percent of the working population was jobless.
Economy minister Christine Lagarde said the overall tendency is still for a stabilisation of the job market.
