Thailand Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra

A Thai court has issued an arrest warrant for ousted former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra on terrorism charges connected with recent deadly riots.

Seen here in Montengro, Thaksin was last believed to be in France for the Cannes flim festival, but keeps his location top secret.

Prosecutors accuse him of being the mastermind behind disturbances in Bangkok and Thailand’s government vowed to launch a global man hunt for the fugitive telecom tycoon.

At least 85 people were killed in Bangkok and more than 1,400 wounded during anti-government protests that began in April and ended last week.

The Thai capital is starting to gain some semblance of normality as residents continue to clean up the zone occupied by Red shirted protesters.

However, police said a night curfew would stay in place until the end of the week.
