Clinton calls on China to condemn North Korea

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton called on China to join the United States in condemning North Korea for the alleged sinking of a South Korean warship which killed 46 sailors.

An international team of investigators accused the North of torpedoing the vessel, which China has yet to acknowledge.

Hillary Clinton delivered an appeal to the Chinese:

“We face another serious challenge provoked by the sinking of the South Korean ship. So we must work together again to address this challenge and advance our shared objectives for peace and stability on the Korean peninsula.”

Clinton is in Beijing for the second Strategic and Economic Dialogue between the two global powers.
