Toyota back in the black

Toyota returned to profit in the financial year just ended despite the cost of recalls for more than eight million vehicles due to safety issues.

The Japanese car giant made almost 1.8 billion euros in the year up to March.

But it has forecast a slower than expected recovery in profits this year because of the stronger value of the yen and Europe’s debt problems.
