Air France KLM on Monday became the latest airline to reported a major slump in traffic in April because of the Icelandic volcanic ash cloud airspace closures.

The disruptions cost Air France KLM nearly a quarter of its European passenger traffic driving total traffic down by 15.9 percent.

Last week British Airways said its traffic fell over 22 percent.

Lufthansa is due to publish its April traffic figures on Tuesday.
