China is reeling from its third school stabbing inside a month after a man knifed 28 children and three adults at a kindergarten in eastern China.
The children were all about four years old. Five have been admitted to hospital and they are said to be in a stable condition.
Police arrested a 47-year-old unemployed man arrested shortly afterwards. He was found to be carrying with a knife with a 20 centimetre blade.
One witness described how some children had “blood pouring from their heads.”
“Some of them could not open their eyes because of the blood, it was very horrible,” the owner of a nearby restaurant said.
It appears to be a copycat attack of a similar incident that happened last Wednesday when another man stabbed at a primary school in the southern Guangdong province.
Last month, a former doctor went on the rampage in a school in Fujian, fatally stabbing eight pupils. He was executed for the murders on Wednesday.
