August 21, 1911: the Mona Lisa vanishes Albania has never seen an exhibition like it.
71 works by the likes of Picasso, Warhol, Chagall, Mondrian and Van Dyck are on display at the National Gallery in the capital, Tirana.
The collection is valued at around 20 million euros. The exhibition was organised as part of a cultural season jointly organised by Albania and Italy. It is a pivotal moment in Albania’s cultural history.
