Volkswagen’s bumper year turns bumpy in final stretch 
Chinese but made in Europe Europe’s biggest motor manufacturer Volkswagen is hoping to take advantage of massive growth in car sales in China by building two new plants there.
It is part of an expansion plan costing 1.6-billion euros aimed at selling two-million vehicles a year in the world’s biggest car market.
Sales there rocketed by nearly 50 per cent last year defying trends elsewhere around the world where showrooms struggled to make ends meet.
