Trichet’s final curtain German businesses are getting more confident about the strength of the economic recovery.
A monthly survey of 7,000 firms by the Munich-based Ifo think tank found morale surged in April to hit its highest level in nearly two years.
Europe’s largest economy had stumbled during the particularly harsh winter but Ifo said it had now “shifted into a higher gear.”
