Greek bailout talks start


Talks that could last for weeks are underway between Greece and EU and International Monetary Fund officials.

They are intended to work out details of an economic plan that could offer Athens up to 45 billion euros to end its debt crisis.

The euro zone member, faced with rocketing borrowing costs and a shrinking economy, is slashing government spending to trying to avoid needing the bailout package.
