The governor of the Bank of France has said the exposure of French banks to the Greek economic crisis is nothing to be alarmed about.
Christian Noyer, who is also a member of the European Central Bank’s governing council and head of the French Banking Commission, said they have only “normal economic exposure” to Greece.
Credit Agricole and Societe Generale both control Greek lenders and BNP Paribas also has a presence there.
