Spanish jobless total hits 4.16 million

Spanish unemployment rose again in March as jobs were cut in the dominant services sector.

The jobless rate increased by 0.87 percent, compared with a two percent rise in February.

There are now 4.16 million people out of work in Spain.

However there was some good news for the hard-hit construction sector where the jobless level fell for the first time in six months though by a tiny amount – 0.1 percent.
