Chinese money growth and loans slow The Chinese government has strongly defended its currency policy and denied it manipulates the yuan, but hinted it could be allowed to rise in value again in the future.
Beijing also rejected the argument a stronger exchange rate would cut the US trade deficit with China.
The US Treasury Department has delayed a report due out next week that could have labelled China a “currency manipulator.”
