Dozens killed in Pakistan bomb attack


A suicide bomb attack at a political rally in north western Pakistan is said to have killed more than 30 people and left dozens injured. Police say the bomber tried to get into the meeting in Timergarah and blew himself up when he was stopped at the entrance.

The ethnic Pashtun party holding the meeting heads a coalition in North West Frontier province. The attack happened close to an area where the army has been fighting the Taliban.
