First sight of suspect suicide bombers

Macabre, grainy images have been released which, claim Russia’s Minister for the Interior, are the faces of the suicide bombers.

The image of a third accomplice still on the loose has also been released amid a desperate search for the perpetrators.

Police fear the gang could be plotting another outrage and are also looking for two other women believed to be involved in the attack.

The Prime Minister sought to quell mounting criticism with strong words.

“We know they are lying low, but its a matter of honour for law enforcement bodies to scrape them from the bottom of the sewers and into the day light. I am confident this will be done,” said
Prime Minister Vladimir Putin.

His words came after claims that Russian intelligence may have known about an imminent attack but failed to alert the public. As suspicion points to the North Caucasus President Medvedev has promised to use force there if necessary to maintain order.
