Germans are starting to see a brighter economic picture, according to a monthly indicator of consumer morale. The GfK index had been in decline for the last five months but in April it is set to stabilise, matching March’s level. Germans had higher income expectations for the month of April although they are less ready to spend their euros on major non-necessary goods. The GfK results are based on a survey of 2,000 people in Germany.
