Police in Turkey have jailed around 20 people over an alleged plot to topple the goverment.
Officers arrested the suspected plotters in raids across eight Turkish cities.
The raids were part of an investigation into Ergenekon, a right-wing militant group.
Prosecutors say the group, which enjoys close ties with the army, wants to depose Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s governing AK Party from power.
Turkey’s army has previously held considerable sway over whether the country’s government stayed in power. They have deposed four administrations since 1960.
There have been a number of protests in Turkey against another military coup.
There are fears further political turmoil could scupper the country’s bid to join the European Union.
