Dubai seeks suspects in Hamas official's killing

Police in Dubai have identified 15 more suspects connected to the killing of Hamas commander, Mahmoud al-Mabhouh.

The new names join a list of at least 26 people being sought by the authorities. The Dubai government has said it believes Israeli spy agency, Mossad, is behind the assassination.

CCTV footage shows al-Mabhouh being followed in the hotel before his death.

Some of the suspects travelled using forged passports from EU countries and Australia – which has summoned the Israeli ambassador there.

At an EU meeting on Monday, foreign ministers condemned the use of fake British, French and Irish passports. They also described al-Mabhouh’s killing was ‘profoundly disturbing’.

Israel has not confirmed or denied its involvement.
