Snow castle and medieval battle in Czech Republic
Visitors to the Harrachov Ski Centre, near to the German and Polish borders in the Czech Republic, are being treated to the country’s largest snow castle this winter.
It took an eight member team, with some additional volunteers, fourteen days to build. They used hundreds of snow blocks, carved with a saw and finished by hand.
As night fell, the members of the group took part in a fencing battle, as a precursor to the main event.
And then the real battle began, with people staying at the ski centre invited to take part.
