Second Endeavour spacewalk to enhance ISS

Home improvements are a popular weekend pastime. But when it comes to enhancing the Internatational Space Station, overalls and a set of ladders simply won’t suffice.

Hence the need for a spacewalk by Endeavour shuttle astronauts American Bob Behnken and his British-born partner Nicholas Patrick.

In their mission’s second such walk on the wild side, the pair have pursued efforts to attach a new room named Tranquility and an observation deck to the ISS.

The Endeavour crew has one further spacewalk scheduled in a mission that NASA has extended from 13 to 14 days.
