Fewer passengers for Air France-KLM

Text size Aa Aa

Passenger traffic at Air France-KLM fell in January by 1.6 percent, but there were fewer empty seats as the airline reduced the number of flights.

The Franco-Dutch carrier was also the latest to report an upward flicker in cargo volume – up two percent – after a prolonged slump in air freight.

The amount of cargo carried by airlines is seen as an indicator of how well the global economy is doing.
