Pay strikes disrupt Germany

Strikes by public workers continued in Germany on Friday.

Workers also walked out at hospitals and municipal facilities like swimming pools and museums.

The public-sector union Ver.di called the so-called warning strikes after pay talks broke down.

It wants a five percent pay rise which the employers have said is excessive.
