"We Are The World" re-made for Haiti

Twenty five years ago it was written to raise funds for those affected by the famine in Ethiopia. Today it is being re-recorded by seventy different stars in support of the victims of the Haiti earthquake.

The new “We Are The World” has particular significance for former Fugee, and now Black Eyed Pea, Wyclef Jean, who was born in Haiti.

“We all remember when we was doing this song, when we was watching this song when we was young and the idea that it’s the 25th year anniversary for Haiti and everything and the world coming together for Haiti I think it’s a great thing,” he said.

The finished cover version will make its world premiere on February 12.
