At Milan, fashion fans flocked to the finale of the Emporio Armani Autumn/Winter 2010/2011 show.

For the colour palette, yet again grey was the new black – enlivened with flashes of brights and pastels.

Suits were casually crumpled and worn with oh so cool shades. But applause was reserved for the Full Monty tribute parade at the end of the show.

Italian designer Carlo Pignatelli was apparently inspired by Dr Zhivago for this collection, which featured such novelties as the Kalashnikov umbrella alongside a series of iconic Russian fur hats. The woolly hat and mittens also made an appearance in mushy pea green, and it appears that items such as the homey humble Duffle Coat will be a fashion must have next winter.

Welcome back, Paddington.
