Death is everywhere in the Haitian capital Port-au Prince the streets are strewn with decomposing bodies and many more lie undiscovered under tonnes of rubble.
The number of victims is estimated to be around 200,000.
The earthquake that hit the impoverished island could be one of the 10 most deadliest ever recorded.
Authorities say around 40,000 bodies have been buried in mass graves.
The fear now is for the survivors as the threat of disease looms.
According to the Haitian authorities around three quarters of capital will need to be rebuilt.
But that is for another day.
