Hollywood pledges help for Haiti


In the wake of Haiti’s devastating earthquake stars from Hollywood, the world of pop and sport have rallied to collect relief donations for the stricken people.

Actor George Clooney is to host a telethon on MTV next week.

Coldplay have called for help via Oxfam as has Avatar actress CCH Pounder:

“The Haiti situation is now so massive, and so huge, that we’re hoping that everything will turn its focus now on that immediacy, because you hope that somebody would do that for you if it happened to your country.”

Lance Armstrong’s Livestrong Foundation has pledged money for Doctors without Borders along with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.
