Japan’s exports rose by the most in seven years in November, calming worries that the economy will slip back into recession next year.

A big factor was shipments to China which rose compared with November last year.

It is the first time that has happened since global trade collapsed late last year.

Exports to the United States fell 7.9 percent, much smaller than the 27.6 percent annual fall in October.
