Shuttle Atlantis back on terra firma

After an 11-day mission, the Space Shuttle Atlantis has touched down at its home port in Florida.

This after a mission to deliver cargo to the International Space Station, one of NASA’s final supply runs before the shuttle fleet is retired next year. This was the fifth and final flight of the year and the 129th mission in the shuttle programme’s history. Just five shuttle missions remain to complete the International Space Station, a project of 16 nations that has been under construction for 11 years.
